Bulk Earthworks, Harare
In April 2025, our team successfully executed the bulk earthworks for a major development in Harare, Zimbabwe. The project required the importation and placement of over 650 loads of banded ironstone, carefully engineered to achieve a structurally sound and durable platform. The fill reached heights of up to 3.2 metres at its highest point, requiring precision planning, material management, and execution.
To ensure long-term performance and structural integrity, all fill was placed and compacted in 150mm layers, meeting stringent quality and engineering specifications. This disciplined approach allowed us to deliver a robust, stable, and high-quality finish suited for the next phase of development.
We are proud to have partnered with Radx Construction on this milestone project, reinforcing our commitment to reliability, engineering excellence, and delivering solutions that support Zimbabwe’s growing infrastructure and development needs.

Mount Hampden, Harare
Our team successfully completed the bulk earthworks and drainage works for our client, Rent A Container, on a 4,560m² development platform in Mount Hampden, Harare. The site was situated in highly reactive black-cotton soil, requiring a technically sound approach to ensure long-term stability and structural performance.
Works included the removal of 600mm of unsuitable material, followed by the importation and placement of 750mm of banded ironstone. The fill was placed and compacted in controlled 150mm layers to achieve the required engineering specifications and high-quality finishing standards.
This project was executed as an as-built solution, with our engineering and technical team responsible for designing and setting out platform levels to suit the client’s operational requirements. The result was a stable, durable, and precisely prepared platform ready for development.

SupaChick Expansion, Mount Hampden, Harare
We were proud to partner with RadX Construction on the exciting SupaChick expansion project in Mt Hampden, Harare. This was a highly technical site comprising three separate building platforms, each constructed at different levels to suit the development requirements. The works also included a fully prepared car park, driveway, and a loading ramp designed to provide efficient and safe access for distribution trucks.
BCHOD served as the consulting engineers on this project, ensuring that all works met the highest engineering and quality standards. This project showcases our capability to deliver complex earthworks and platform construction with precision, efficiency, and reliability.
November – December 2025
Big Brother Chickens Expansion, Goromonzi
Kobot Earthmoving successfully completed the bulk earthworks for our client, Big Brother Chickens, as part of their major expansion project in Goromonzi. This development included not just one, but two engineered building platforms, each measuring approximately 6,000m², designed to support large-scale operational infrastructure.
Our scope of works involved clearing and preparing the development area, followed by conditioning and improving the natural ground to receive imported gravel fill. Our team undertook detailed technical analysis and design for the project, determining the required specifications, levels, and structural integrity needed to ensure long-term durability and performance of the platforms.
We take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship, precision execution, and reliable project management, ensuring our clients receive safe, stable, and future-ready construction platforms.
